Premiering on July 22 and 23 on CNN, Soledad O'Brien continues her investigative reporting on what it means to be black in America. The sequel called "Black in America 2" focusses on the innovative ways that people are transforming the black experience by confronting the most difficult issues facing their community.
This is a must see for all of us who find ourselves in the category of being black in america. The article link below which confronts one of those difficult issues of the disparative gap between Africans and African Americans is what I am more interested in. I believe some of the things that were said and other I think were totally ludicrus but I have my person experiences of what it means to be an "African in America".

Inspirations can come from the unlikeliest of places. Some people can draw their inspiration from songs while others can draw theirs from the lives and experiences of others. There are a multitude of ways but in this example I fall in the latter of the two. I got my inspiration to venture into this and move head on in this venture from Pres. Barack Obama.
I fell in love with the phrase "Yes WE CAN" and began to adopt it to everyhing around me. Yes I Can make a change to my situation, yes I can do more for my native homeland. The list of things that I found that I could do went on and on.
