Afrisonore launches new online music portal

People interested in African music now have full access to a new African music Internet portal – Afrisonore.com.

Afrisonore is muti-functional website profiling African music and connecting audiences worldwide. It was started by Ike Anyaoko, a cosmopolitan business savvy entrepreneur and a Harvard graduate who believe in the cultural potency of African music.

On Saturday, Afrisonore hosted a red carpet and private party at the K Street Lounge to launch its online platform in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.  This event attracted afro-cosmopolitans within and around the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Media partners such as BHF Magazine, PalavaHut the online African village, Kukurooku and others were present to cover this grand occasion. Some other special guests included Ghanaian artist Koby Maxwell, Pridine and a host of other artists local to the DC area.

“Afrisonore is another great addition to the media landscape that seeks cultural recognition of our values as Africans living in the diaspora” stated Will Roberts of PalavaHut the Online African Village.

The launch event kick-off was a sucess and it left an indelible mark in the District indicating that Afrisonore and African music is here to stay.
