Mauritius: Africa’s Paradise Island

Mauritius is one of Africa’s most popular travel destinations.  You can’t go wrong with it’s cobalt blue sea, white sandy beaches, luxurious hotels, and very welcoming and charming people.

Mauritius has become a must-see travel destination for people all over the world.  Located in the Indian ocean off the coast of Africa, it simply is paradise. It is packed with tropical luxury and stupendous extravagance.

The obvious attraction to the island are the white sandy beaches but Mauritius offers so much more. There is Grand Bay, the Triolet Shivala (the biggest Hindu temple of the Maheswamath), hiking in the Labourdonnais Orchards, explore the Balaclava Ruins, open air markets in Flacq, fun for the entire family at the Waterpark Leaisure Village, Ile aux Cerfs, Yemen Game Reserve, Black River Gorges, L’Aventure du Sucre, Ganga Taloa-Grand Bassin, and a ride on the Blue Safari Submarine.

The cuisine of Mauritius is a blend of Indian, Creole, Chinese and European influences. It is common for a combination of cuisines to form part of the same meal.

Africans don’t have to escape to Jamaica, Barbados or Puerto Rico to enjoy paradise; paradise is truly only miles away in our very own back yard.
